Regular Plural

• Singular means one of something ( a pen ).
• Plural means more than one ( 3 pen ).

There are 3 main rules to make the plural.

1. Add -s to most nouns cat-cats 
2. Add -es to nouns ending in s, x, z, o, ch, sh

dress-dresses

fox-foxes

buzz-buzzes

tomato-tomatoes

watch-watches

dish-dishes    

   3. Drop the y and add -ies 

baby-babies

city-cities
