Punctuation

Lesson: Punctuation

The main punctuation marks are:

1. Period(.) is put at the end of a statement.

Ex: I like apples.

     2. Question mark(?) is put at the end of a question.

Ex: What's your name ? 

     3. Exclamation mark(!) shows excitement or strong feeling. 

Ex: Wow ! this is amazing !

     4. Comma (,) seperates items in a list 

Ex: I bought apples , oranges , pears and bananas. 

Practice :  Add punctuation to these sentences. 

1. Watch out
2. I don't have a fish
3. I like cats  dogs   birds and rabbits 
4. Where is my book
